Located just steps from one of Paris’s most celebrated landmarks, this apartment was conceived as a return to quiet elegance. Over time, the space had been successively transformed into a restaurant and offices, gradually losing the character and refinement of its original architecture. The project sought to restore that sense of place while adapting it to the needs of contemporary family life.

Every detail was carefully considered to create a dialogue between past and present. References to the nearby Palais Royal and the building’s own architectural heritage are woven throughout the interiors. Brass accents evoke the rhythm and repetition of the Palais Royal’s colonnades, while cast concrete screens recall the works of Tadao Ando and I. M. Pei, whose architectural presence can be found just minutes away.

The furniture, lighting, and artworks were either specially designed or meticulously selected by the studio, creating a cohesive and harmonious environment in which architecture, craftsmanship, and daily life become inseparable.
